Vermona drumDING Hybrid Sampling Drum Machine
The Vermona drumDING is a powerful hybrid drum machine that combines analog drum synthesis, digital sampling, resampling, effects, and deep sequencing in one highly performative instrument. Start by sculpting drum sounds with its analog voice, featuring a dual-range VCO, pitch envelopes, a resonant multimode filter, FM modulation, transient generation, and selectable pink or blue noise. The four-channel mixer lets you shape and route these sources through the filter or directly to the VCA, while the auxiliary input allows you to incorporate external sounds into the signal path.
Once you have created a sound, the drumDING lets you sample it directly into one of six primary sample slots. Each project can store up to 32 drum sounds, with samples saved to an SD card for future use. Internal sounds can also be routed for resampling, opening up extensive possibilities for sound design and manipulation. The digital section includes sample repitching over a two-octave range, forward and reverse playback, a dedicated sample envelope, and effects including two delays, reverb, panning, bitcrushing, drive, and ring modulation.
The 64-step sequencer features per-step parameter locks, allowing you to dynamically change sample and sequencing parameters throughout a pattern. Its Alt mode lets multiple steps share the same parameter settings, while individual tracks can have independent sequence lengths. Additional modulation routing, probability, retrigger, velocity, and level controls provide further depth for both studio production and live performance.
With dedicated outputs for each drum voice, a headphone mode for auditioning the analog drum voice privately, a large OLED display, and four corresponding encoders, the Vermona drumDING is a versatile hybrid drum machine for creating, transforming, and performing unique drum sounds.
