The Camel Strip V2 is an all-in-one channel strip plugin that combines analog-inspired preamp coloration, a 3-band EQ, compression, dynamic gating, and transient shaping in a single interface. Designed for efficient mixing with plenty of tonal character, it provides tools for adding warmth, controlling dynamics, shaping frequencies, and enhancing the punch and detail of individual tracks or entire mixes. The updated V2 edition introduces improved processing algorithms, a new Transient Shaper, a live Spectrum Analyzer, and enhanced gain management.
The preamp section includes Trim, Pad, and Phase controls for adjusting input levels and signal polarity while adding saturation and character. The 3-band EQ features adjustable midrange Q, complemented by high- and low-cut filters for removing unwanted frequencies. The compressor offers standard dynamic control as well as a Wild Compression mode for more aggressive, characterful results. A Dynamic Gate helps reduce unwanted noise, while the Transient Shaper provides independent control over attack and sustain.
A live Spectrum Analyzer and gain reduction metering provide visual feedback during processing. Individual sections can be enabled or bypassed for flexible signal shaping and quick comparisons. V2 also includes a redesigned interface, an enhanced preset browser with folders, tags, favorites, and search, plus Smart Gain, Link Gain, A/B comparison, and short-term LUFS metering. Oversampling helps reduce aliasing, while optimized CPU performance supports demanding production sessions.
