Nano Modules PERFORMANCE Mixer - Advanced Mixing.
A performance-oriented Eurorack mixing hub designed for hands-on control, real-time automation, and integrated routing. The Performance Mixer is built to function as the central brain of a modular setup, combining multi-channel mixing, cueing, AUX routing, and dynamic modulation recording in a single interface.
What sets it apart is its ability to record knob movements, turning real-time adjustments into looped automation data. This allows the mixer itself to behave like a performance instrument rather than a static utility, enabling evolving mixes without external sequencing or automation tools.
Key Features
- 4-channel performance mixer architecture: mono and stereo channel handling
- Channel-based control set: volume, panning, AUX sends, and CV inputs per channel
- Dual AUX send system: flexible pre/post-fader routing for external effects chains
- Stereo return section: dedicated return level control for FX integration
- Master output section: global level control with VU metering
- Headphone output with cue blending: independent monitoring and mix preview
- Knob recording system (up to ~12s per parameter): records movement of volume, pan, and AUX controls for looping automation
- Mute and cue functions: performance-focused channel control
- Expandable with EXP4: adds per-channel outputs and extended CV control options
Functional Overview
The Performance Mixer is designed as a full mixing environment inside Eurorack. Each channel can be shaped manually or automated through recorded knob motion, creating evolving mixes, rhythmic fades, and dynamic spatial movement. The AUX system allows for integrated external effects workflows, while cue monitoring supports live performance preparation and transitions.
Stereo channels simplify integration of modern stereo sources, while mono channels offer deeper control over modulation-heavy or individual voice processing. The system is structured to support both traditional mixing and experimental performance techniques.
Use Case
Ideal as the central mixing stage of a Eurorack system, especially in live performance setups or DAW-less studio environments. It works equally well for traditional mixing tasks, automated evolving sets, and experimental workflows where the mixer becomes an active part of the composition.
