McDSP 6020 Ultimate EQ Native v7.
The 6020 Ultimate EQ is a collection of ten equalizer models using McDSP’s popular module format, leveraging over 15 years of design experience. Each module draws inspiration from classic and modern equalizers over the last four decades, offering ease of operation and sophistication for discerning professionals. Whether your style favors smooth tube emulations or aggressive solid-state designs, the 6020 Ultimate EQ has a custom-made equalizer module perfect for you.
6020 EQ Modules
E670
The McDSP E670 module features three bands, each with continuous gain and frequency controls. Like the original 664 module, the E670 is a program equalizer designed to gently tweak the tonality of the input signal.
Moo Q
The Moo Q module, derived from all-tube designs of the last few decades, is a program equalizer similar to the E670. It includes three bands with continuous gain and frequency controls, plus 'tube accents' in the output stage.
iQ
The iQ module offers two bands: a low shelf EQ and a high shelf EQ. It includes additional circuitry for sound coloration, even when all equalizer gains are set to zero. This module is ideal for adding low-end ‘glow’ or high-end ‘sheen’.
E300/E301
The E300 and E301 modules have the same frequency ranges, with the E301 offering narrower bandwidth. Both are versatile, suitable for shaping guitar track tones, enhancing vocals, or optimizing drum tracks.
British-E
The British-E module features a classic combination of high pass filter, low shelf, parametric, and high shelf, making it useful for many mixing applications.
EZ Q
Using the same filter and equalizer configuration as the British-E module, the EZ Q module includes a high pass filter to remove rumble, effective low and high shelving EQ, and a flexible parametric EQ, making it a reliable tool for various tasks.
EQ'76
The EQ’76 module is designed to pair with the SST’76 compression module from the 6030 Ultimate Compressor. It features four bands of parametric equalization, each with a slight Q-gain dependency.
FRG EEE
The FRG EEE module is a capable equalizer, with low and high shelving bands performing cut/boost to offset the selected boost/cut—a clever design technique from many classic equalizers.
E357
The E357 module offers three bands of aggressive equalization. Its shelving bands provide more punch at the low end and a brighter top end than any other shelving EQ in the 6020 collection.
