The BOSS EX-4 Effects Expander packs a massive selection of BOSS effects into a compact pedalboard-friendly unit. With 120 high-quality effects covering overdrive, distortion, modulation, delay, reverb, bass effects, and classic BOSS sounds, the EX-4 gives guitarists, bassists, and other musicians a versatile collection of tones without taking up excessive pedalboard space.
The EX-4 can run up to four effects simultaneously, with support for serial, parallel, wet/dry, and reorderable signal chains. Its flexible effect loop allows external pedals to be integrated anywhere in the chain, while dedicated utility blocks provide foot volume, dual noise suppression, send/return, divider/mixer, and global EQ functions.
A full-color 2.4-inch display provides clear access to signal chains, effect blocks, parameters, and menus. Dedicated FX buttons provide quick access to individual effects, while dual multifunction footswitches with split-color LEDs can be customized for functions such as effect bypass, preset navigation, tap tempo, and more.
The EX-4 offers both Manual and Memory modes, along with 128 preset memories for guitar and bass and 128 user memories for custom sounds. Its comprehensive mono/stereo I/O, flexible effects loop, expression and external footswitch connections, and TRS MIDI connectivity make it easy to integrate into sophisticated pedalboard and MIDI setups.
