At the center of the CDJ-1500X is a large 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen that makes browsing, waveform viewing, and track selection smooth and intuitive. The browse screen can display more tracks at once, while waveform previews, vocal position indicators, BPM change points, and phrase information help DJs understand track structure quickly and make better mixing decisions during a set. Dark and Light display modes also keep the screen easy to read in everything from dim club booths to bright daytime environments.

The CDJ-1500X is built for modern music access. Built-in Wi-Fi allows DJs to connect to their cloud-based rekordbox library using rekordbox CloudDirectPlay, while StreamingDirectPlay support opens access to compatible streaming platforms. With USB-A, USB-C, LAN, and PRO DJ LINK connectivity, the player supports flexible playback from USB drives, computers, mobile devices, cloud libraries, and streaming services.

For faster setup, NFC touch login allows DJs to access personal settings and playlists using a mobile device with rekordbox installed. The CDJ-1500X is also compatible with CoBeat, AlphaTheta’s audience interaction service, which lets crowds send requests and messages that can appear directly on the player’s browse screen. This gives DJs an optional way to bring the dancefloor into the performance while still staying in full control of the set.

Performance-focused controls include 8 Hot Cue buttons, a Beat Loop knob for quick loop creation, Beat Sync, Beat Jump, and a mid-size jog wheel with a rotation indicator and non-slip surface.
