Teenage Engineering has expanded its EP ecosystem with the new EP-35 K.O.-Amp 35, a portable multi-input speaker and amplifier designed for jamming, performance and creative setups.
It is much more than a portable speaker. The EP-35 can bring together guitar, microphone, line-level gear, USB audio and Bluetooth in one compact setup, while built-in effects and a rechargeable battery make it easy to take away from the studio.
And perhaps the most Teenage Engineering part of the whole thing? You can attach an EP-series device such as the EP-133 K.O. II directly to the side of it.

Meet the Teenage Engineering EP-35 K.O.-Amp 35
The Teenage Engineering EP-35 K.O.-Amp 35 is designed as a portable hub for multiple instruments and audio sources.
It includes six inputs with a summing mixer, which means several connected sources can be played at the same time. There is a dedicated 1/4-inch guitar input with selectable gain, an XLR microphone input with 48V phantom power, stereo line input and output, USB audio and Bluetooth connectivity.
The EP-35 also includes built-in effects for guitar and microphone, making it possible to build a compact jam or performance setup without immediately reaching for additional processors.
Why the EP-35 Is More Than a Portable Amp
- Six simultaneous inputs: Bring multiple instruments and audio sources into one portable system.
- Guitar and microphone inputs: Connect a guitar directly and use an XLR microphone with phantom power.
- Built-in effects: Process guitar and microphone signals directly from the amp.
- USB audio interface: Connect the EP-35 to a computer or compatible device over USB.
- Bluetooth LE Audio: Stream audio wirelessly and use broadcast mode with compatible setups.
- Rechargeable battery: Build a portable setup without relying on a wall outlet.
- Integrated storage: A rear compartment gives cables and accessories somewhere to live.
That combination makes the EP-35 interesting for much more than guitar practice. It can work as the centre of a compact hardware jam, a vocal and instrument setup, a portable writing station or simply a speaker for your other Teenage Engineering gear.
Yes, You Can Put a K.O. II on the Side
This might be the coolest part of the entire system.
The K.O. Dock Kit lets you attach an EP-series device directly to the EP-35. That includes devices such as the EP-133 K.O. II.
The dock uses connecting pegs to physically mount the EP device to the amp, while the included stereo cable connects it to the EP-35 line input.
Instead of carrying a sampler and speaker as two completely separate pieces of gear, the K.O. II can become part of the amp itself. For portable beatmaking, hardware jams or small live setups, that is an extremely satisfying little ecosystem.
EP-127 K.O.-Pedal: Hands-Free Control for the EP-35
The EP-127 K.O.-Pedal expands the EP-35 into a more performance-oriented setup.
It is a wireless MIDI and HID controller with two pressure-sensitive controls. When paired with the EP-35, it gives you hands-free access to effects, looping, the metronome and music playback.
The pressure-sensitive controls can also provide more expressive control over effect parameters rather than simply acting as basic on/off switches.
Outside of the EP-35 ecosystem, the K.O.-Pedal can connect to compatible synths, software and other hardware through Bluetooth LE MIDI, USB-C or its 3.5 mm MIDI output. It also includes an expression pedal input.
Who Is the EP-127 K.O.-Pedal For?
- Guitarists: Control effects without taking your hands off the instrument.
- Vocalists: Manipulate microphone effects and performance functions hands-free.
- Loop-based performers: Access looping and playback controls directly from the floor.
- Hardware musicians: Use it as a MIDI controller with compatible synths and pedalboards.
- Hybrid performers: HID mode can also control computer shortcuts, presentations and video playback.

Build Out the EP-35 Setup
The rest of the new accessories are not random extras. Most of them solve a specific part of making the EP-35 into a portable, self-contained setup.
Teenage Engineering Handy Mic
The Handy Mic is a compact XLR microphone designed for vocals, karaoke and voice amplification.
It includes a push-to-talk button and a coiled cable that extends up to 1.5 metres. When it is not being used, it can rest directly on the EP-35's integrated handle.
This makes it an easy addition for spontaneous vocals, announcements, live jams or anyone who wants the microphone to feel like part of the amp rather than another piece of equipment to carry separately.
Amptenna
The Amptenna plugs into the EP-Plug port and turns the EP-35 into an FM radio.
It is probably not the accessory you need for your mix session, but it perfectly fits the portable, playful nature of the EP-35. Take the amp outside, plug in the Amptenna and suddenly the same device you were jamming through becomes a portable radio.
USB Drive 16GB
The Teenage Engineering USB Drive 16GB is preloaded with instrumental tracks, drum loops, breaks and electronic beats for jamming and practice.
You can also load your own MP3, WAV and AIFF files onto the drive. Combined with the K.O.-Pedal, that opens up a simple portable workflow for playing, looping and improvising over your own material.
Guitar Textile Cable
The 3-metre Guitar Textile Cable is the straightforward companion for connecting a guitar to the EP-35's dedicated guitar input.
K.O.-Amp 35 Strap
The K.O.-Amp 35 Strap attaches to the amp's integrated handle and turns the EP-35 into a hands-free carry setup.
If portability is one of the reasons you are interested in the amp, this is one of the simplest accessories to justify.
Cylinder Case
The K.O.-Amp 35 Cylinder Case is designed to fit inside the EP-35's built-in storage compartment.
It gives smaller objects such as cables, USB drives and adapters a dedicated place inside the amp instead of letting them float around the compartment.
Pocket Bag
The K.O.-Amp 35 Pocket Bag attaches directly to the side of the EP-35 and can hold one full-size or two half-size EP-series devices.
That makes it particularly relevant if your portable setup includes multiple pieces from the EP family.
Eyelet Bag
The Eyelet Bag also attaches directly to the EP-35, but is designed around storing smaller accessories such as the K.O.-Pedal, microphone and cables.
It is a useful option if your goal is to keep the entire EP-35 rig together as one portable system.
K.O.-Amp Add-On Bundle
If you want several of the accessories together, the K.O.-Amp Add-On Bundle combines the Handy Mic, K.O. Dock Kit, USB Drive and Amptenna.
A Portable Teenage Engineering Ecosystem
The EP-35 K.O.-Amp 35 becomes much more interesting once you look at it as the centre of a system rather than simply another portable speaker.
You can plug in a guitar and microphone, connect multiple audio sources, add effects, stream over Bluetooth, use it as a USB audio interface, mount an EP-133 K.O. II directly to the side, add the K.O.-Pedal for hands-free control and pack the accessories directly onto or inside the amp.
It is compact, strange in exactly the right ways, and designed around getting people to plug things together and play.
