Black Lion Audio Revolution Clock Word Clock Generator
The Black Lion Audio Revolution Clock is a professional master clock designed to synchronize a wide range of digital audio equipment from a single low-jitter timing source. It combines Black Lion Audio’s Macro-MMC clocking technology with high-stability MEMS oscillators to provide reliable clock distribution for recording studios, production facilities, and hybrid digital systems.
Seven clock outputs allow the Revolution Clock to synchronize multiple devices simultaneously. Four BNC outputs provide standard word clock connections, while dedicated AES/EBU, coaxial S/PDIF, and optical S/PDIF outputs extend compatibility to equipment that does not use BNC word clock connections.
The four BNC outputs support sample rates from 44.1 kHz up to 384 kHz, while the AES/EBU and coaxial S/PDIF outputs support rates up to 192 kHz. The optical S/PDIF output supports rates up to 96 kHz.
Macro-MMC technology is designed to maintain low noise and minimal jitter throughout the clock signal path, while MEMS oscillators provide strong temperature stability and resistance to mechanical shock. Together, these technologies make the Revolution Clock a flexible central timing source for audio interfaces, converters, digital mixers, processors, and other synchronized studio equipment.
The unit can be used as a compact desktop clock or installed in a standard 19-inch rack with suitable rack hardware, making it practical in both permanent studios and mobile production systems.
